Baby Girl Scrapbook Pages

I had fun scrapbooking some of Adelaide's first pictures yesterday. Let me just say, it makes things go buy so much faster when you have tons of paper and stickers to choose from. Anyway, I thought I'd share what I did. Hopefully it will help inspire you!

Adelaide's Baptism Invitations

My daughter is going to be baptised next month. So, I made up some invitations to send out. I went to Joann and found some beautiful iridescent card stock that I used on the inside. It was $2 a sheet!!! Luckily it was on sale for 40% off.

On the envelopes I stamped a cross and used some clear embossing powder to give it a subtle embellishment. I think they turned out pretty cute! I can't wait to finish planning everything.

Erik's Birthday

My nephew turns 8 tomorrow! To celebrate his mom threw him a birthday party at Murray Park yesterday. Unfortunately it was pretty cold out, but we still had a good time.

I was asked to make the invitations and cupcakes. They turned out pretty well. The invites aren't as nice as I would have liked, but for some reason I could NOT find my paper cutter! So, the edges are a little crooked.

For the cupcakes I used fondant for the stars and "Z's". I went to Orson Gygi to buy gel food coloring because I wanted them to be a vibrant red.... So much for that! They looked pink no matter how much food coloring I added. So, I ended up brushing on liquid food coloring with a cotton swab. In the end I got the desired effect, but man did it take forever to paint each star!

Photo Shoot

My first photo shoot with Adelaide. It was so much fun. I can't believe how well she behaved.

Crab Omeletes

I made crab omelets for breakfast. Too bad I couldn't eat one. :( They looked delish! Joe said they were. I used mozzarella cheese. I would have used pepper jack, but I didn't have any. Then I topped it off with hollandaise, my favorite, and a little dried parsley for garnish. They look beautiful, but I wish I would have had some asparagus to go with.

Chocolate Molten Cakes

I love my cookbook Great Food Fast. It has some really great recipes. Joe wanted me to make this one. They were so delicious, but also very rich. I could barely eat one. (They're about the size of a cupcake) Today, I tried to make some mini ones. They cookbook doesn't have cooking time for mini cakes. So, I had to guess. They were a MESS! I'll have to try again and adjust the cooking time...
